Leo J. Deon Jr. is a retired Chief Warrant Officer with the United States Coast Guard having served 21 years of active duty. His last assignment prior to military retirement was with the Coast Guard’s National Strike Force leading teams responding to environmental disasters and domestic terrorism. Leo’s post military career included leadership in facilities management for higher education and serving as the Veterans’ Program Manager for the Maine Department of Labor. With a passion for serving Veterans, he continues to devote time with the Maine Military and Community Network both as Vice-President for the Steering Committee and as Chair of the Franklin County Regional Group. Along with numerous military leadership academies, Leo also has a bachelors’ degree in management from the University of Maine Presque Isle. Â
